What Is the best way to reach the stadium in comfort and on time?
- Make use of the free Park & Ride service to access the Stadium hassle-free
- Bus lanes are reserved on Samora Machell Dr & the P166 to get buses quickly to the Stadium
- Buses operate from Bergvlam Hoërskool & Lowveld High
- Taxis operate from Government Complex (Riverside Mall), Fresh Produce Market & Curro Mbombela
What does the Park & Ride Services cost?
- It’s free service for all match ticket holders (please flash your ticket to the driver)
- At all Park & Ride loading venues free & safe parking is provided for your vehicle
At what time intervals do buses depart from park & ride locations?
- If buses or taxis fill up quickly they will depart once full otherwise every 15 – 30 minutes
- Bus & taxi marshalls are on hand to bring in more buses or taxis and speed up services if needed
How do I know which bus or taxi to take before and after the game?
- Before the game the buses or taxis go straight from the loading venue to the stadium
- After the game the Park & Ride services follow a circular route to drop-off at all venues
- Post-match make sure to get onto the bus or taxi at the same place you were dropped before the game
- Mbombela schools are served by train buses and load East of the Stadium @ Gates A & B
- Riverside and fresh produce market are served by taxis and load South of the Stadium @ Gates C & E
What do I do if I boarded the wrong bus or taxi?
- When boarding you can ask the driver to make sure where he is heading
- Buses intend to serve all stops in their sector on the return trips to make sure you get home
- To reduce confusion the sectors are limited to Mbombela (buses) or Riverside (taxis)
What times do the park & Rides operate?
- From 12:00 to 22:00 but the last buses start departing from the Stadium between 21:00 and 21:30

Where do I go when I am a permit holder (hospitality, vip, disabled, media)?
- Clearly display your permit and you will be ushered to Matsafeni Rd via the reserved lanes
- At the Stadium you will be ushered to your designated parking area
- Please make use of the P166 (Stadium link road between Riverside and Mataffin – Matsafeni Rd)
Can I Park at the stadium if I am not a permit holder
- Yes you may if you are early and you get there timeously (Early-Birds from 12:00)
- Limited general public parking is provided up to 14:00 (free public parking closes @ 14:00)
- From 14:00 Samora Machell Dr will be closed and you have to divert to Park & Rides
Do I have to pay for the parking?
- Early Bird parking at the outlying adjoining Stadium parking areas is free (1st come 1st serve)
- Local communities provide security and marshalling services – please tip your car guard
Where can I park at the Stadium?
- The outlying old sports field & the Pecan Orchard on the perimeter of the Stadium precinct
- Overflow parking is available North of Samora Machell Dr (opposite Halls Gateway)
- Please park where you are marshalled to and do not reserve parking spaces
Will there be road closures?
- Yes when the free prking is full (or after 14:00) Samora Machell Dr will be closed
- Closure will be between Man (Graniet St) and the N4-Mataffin Split
- Full closure of Matsafeni Rd will be enforced by Mbombela traffic from 12:00 to 18:00
- Permit holders (vehicle access pass holders) will still be allowed in after closures
- But after 14:00 general traffic will be turned away and directed to the nearest Park & Ride
